The Latin America Bioimaging (LABI) Meeting 2025 took place from November 10-12, 2025 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, marking another significant milestone in LABI's mission to strengthen the regional bioimaging ecosystem. This year's meeting, themed "From Data to Discovery: Strengthening Latin America's Bioimaging Ecosystem", brought together researchers, facility managers, industry partners, and policymakers to advance access to technology, data infrastructure, and collaborative discovery across the region.
Over three days, 130 participants from 19 countries gathered in person at the Instituto de Fisiología, Biología Molecular y Neurociencias (IFIBYNE), Universidad de Buenos Aires, engaging in strategic discussions on democratizing advanced imaging technologies, building regional data infrastructure, and positioning Latin America as a global contributor to scientific discovery.
With topics ranging from disruptive imaging technologies to FAIR data principles and sustainable infrastructure models, LABI reaffirmed its commitment to connecting people, technology, and ideas to bridge the gap between innovation and implementation.

This workshop will cover array tomography (AT) technology with a focus on “simple and affordable” workflows based on serial ultramicrotomy and imaging. The practicals include traditional AT methods for serial section collection on rigid support or tape, immunofluorescence AT and electron microscopy AT imaging and analysis. Novel technologies will also be discussed.
Limited to 20 participants with previous knowledge in imaging approaches (either light or electron microscopy).
A USD 400 fee for the workshop including 6 nights, single room accommodation and meals.
